Sept. 2-4

Friday: Get your motor running for Motorcycles on Main! Cruise down Main Street with your biking buddies or walk along the sidewalk every first Friday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This is a family event that welcomes everyone whether you have a motorcycle or not. Come and enjoy the food vendors and beer garden as well!




Saturday: Soak up the sun before summer comes to an end at Golfland Sunsplash! Float down the lazy river, swim in the 450,000-gallon wave pool and check out the thrilling slides. There is also a toddler section and plenty of lawn chairs to relax in.

Sunday: Take pride in America this Labor Day weekend with Salt River Tubing and make Arizona clean! Invite your friends and family for a day of tubing and receive a free Tommy Tuber litter bag to help clean up river banks. Tube rental doors open at 8:30 a.m. 


Sept. 9-11

Friday: Art, Music and Food, Oh my! Come check out Mesa Arts Center’s Season Kickoff Festival. At this free celebration, you can gaze at contemporary art inspired by literature. Stroll through the five new exhibits and complete your night with non-stop live music and entertainment including spoken word performances. 
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 


Saturday: Did archery peak your interest during the Summer Olympics? Bring out your inner Katniss Everdeen with the Archery 101 Night Class at Usery Mountain Regional Park and learn the basic steps that will help you master this intense sport.  May the odds be ever in your favor. Starts at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday: Come and see what the Superstition Mountain Museum has to offer. Learn about the Native American culture, geology and more. Feel free to snap a photo in front of the famous Elvis Chapel and check out the gift shop.

Sept. 16-18

Friday: Want to show the family your creative side? Experience Young Makers Night at HeatSync Labs in Downtown Mesa for a free workshop. Kids can team up with their parents and brainstorm new things to invent. Get hands-on at the lab and put your mind and skills to the test! 


Saturday: You don’t have to be a science or history geek to have a good time at the Arizona Museum of Natural History. There is so much to see and take in. Bring the entire family to see fossils, ancient art and even pan for gold. 


Sunday: Want to show off your music skills or want to get tips from experienced musicians?  Come visit the Valley Acoustic Group for an evening of musical fun. Bring your instrument, your friends and be ready to jam out! Time: 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Sept. 23-25

Friday: Who doesn’t enjoy free samples? Mesa Community Farmer’s Market offers a variety fresh, organic and delicious produce. Come take a stroll down Main Street and discover the various food and treats Mesa has to offer!


Saturday:  Grab your helmet and hop on a Grid bike, which can be found throughout Downtown Mesa. Explore the Permanent Sculpture Collection along the streets and enjoy the fresh air!

Sunday: Yee-haw! Round up all your friends and gather at Goldfield Ghost Town to see a beautiful view of the Superstition Mountains. When you arrive, you will feel that you went back in time. Enjoy zip lining, gun shows, a train ride, shopping, the reptile exhibit and more! Happy treasure hunting!
