Mesa has always been a go-to destination for travelers thanks to its beautiful spring weather and Cactus League MLB Spring Training! But Mesa’s not just great for its sunshine and baseball, it’s a great destination to travel to with kids too.
Check out our round-up of kid-friendly Spring Break activities for the whole family here in City Limitless®.
The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a local favorite for family fun and gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and sunshine! With jousting, food, music, comedy and arts; there’s sure to be something for the whole family. This medieval-style faire is held on Saturdays and Sundays through March 27. If you’re traveling on a budget, the faire is great because kids under 5 get in for free!
If your family is more the competitive type, you’ll want to visit Stratum Laser Tag, the world’s largest technotainment laser tag arena from the designers of Universal Studios. You’ll be playing with up to 55 players in this high-tech game of hide and seek for those ages 5 and up.
For baseball fans, you won’t want to miss seeing a Chicago Cubs or Oakland Atheltics game during your Spring Break trip. Each year, the month of March brings thousands of baseball fans to Mesa for Major League Baseball Spring Training. The gorgeous spring weather here in Mesa sets the perfect scene for a day at the diamond. When you go, opt for a spot on the lawn over the stadium-style seats. You’ll save money and get more leg room to spread out. Plus, there’s nothing like lounging on the lawn in the sunshine while enjoying a nice, cool treat like an ice cream cone!
If you want a true Wild West experience, head over to Rawhide Western Town where you can take a ride back to the 1880’s on their Butterfield Stagecoach, catch their live action western stunt show by The Arizona Roughriders or dine on cowboy fare at the world-renowned Steakhouse & Saloon!
All this adventuring is probably going to make you tired, so make sure you’ve got a nice and comfy bed to retire to: Four Points by Sheraton at Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport is a great place to stay with the kids. Your teens will love using the WiFi to share their favorite photos with their friends and if you’re feeling like you need to slow it down a little, play a round on the on-site golf course at Toka Sticks Golf Club.
