Save the date on Friday, July 4th, 2014 as you come out to show your pride at the Annual Arizona Celebration of Freedom event in Mesa! If you're looking for a place to enjoy fireworks in Mesa, this is the event for you.
Taking place in Mesa's burgeoning downtown, this spectacular FREE event tends to attract more than 50,000 people every year. It is the precursor to every fireworks show in the State of Arizona filled with classic cars, beer gardens, an art walk, music, street performers, numerous performances, indoor displays, games, family fun, and so much more. Dubbed as the "coolest" Independence festival in Arizona with its more than a dozen "cool zones," the celebration also features the nationally-recognized Mesa Arts Center as a backdrop to the main stage and dozens of community groups with hundreds of volunteers to make this party truly unique.
There will be several different activity zones for you to walk around and enjoy. To name a few, get cooled off at the Celebration Splash Zone as you slide down inflatables and soak zones. Stop by Uncle Sam's Safety Zone and say thanks to the men and women who save lives every day. Get lost in history as you walk through America's Heritage Lane, featuring national monuments and figures of America freedom and history. Take a moment to enjoy the many arts and crafts that will be on display from the i.d.e.a. Museum, Arizona Museum of Natural History and Mesa Arts Center. You can watch local chalk artists create a patriotic mural or make one yourself! Head on over to the Lady Liberty Car Show to see classic, custom hot rods, trucks and more. Lastly, make sure to bring your dancing shoes as there will be live music playing all night long at the adjoining Mesa Amphitheatre.
