6th Annual Mask Alive Festival

Cultural Coalition invites families of all ages to enjoy
a day of culture, music, and dance at their FREE event, the 6th Annual Mask Alive!
Festival of Masks at Pioneer Park in Mesa from 2 to 5 p.m.

Make plans for a picnic in the park with empanadas and pupusas from Z’Potes Food
Truck, frozen treats from Paletas Betty’s, cool agua frescas, and more. Kids will also
love all the free hands-on arts and craft activities from local organizations such as Mesa
Arts Centers’ Mobile Art Based Engagement Lab (MABEL), Arizona Museum of Natural
History, i.d.e.a. Museum, and of course mask making to join in the festival fun!

This annual event is a celebration of the art of masked storytelling with a line-up of
dancers, musicians, puppeteers, and more, all performing in masks made by the artists
themselves, or by local sculptor and Cultural Coalition Artistic Director and Co-Founder Zarco Guerrero.
