Astronomy Nights at the MCC Planetarium | Visit Mesa

Astronomy Nights at the MCC Planetarium

MCC Astronomy Nights include planetarium shows, telescope viewing, information tables, hands-on activities, and more! Planetarium shows occur rain or shine, but telescope viewing of the night sky is only offered when the sky is clear. MCC Astronomy Nights are held on the first Friday of the month during February, March, April, & May and September, October, November, & December.

We are happy to announce that that MCC Planetarium is reopening to the public, including our monthly Astronomy Nights! Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the following policies have been put in place.
Theater capacity has been reduced by half to allow for a 3-foot social distancing minimum. All tickets must be reserved ahead of time (visit our PurplePass page for tickets, see link on site). Masks are mandatory while indoors, and strongly encouraged while outdoors on campus. Shows will be starting every hour to allow for disinfection of the theater between showings.
