Celebrate musical traditions from around the world at MIM with festive performances, talks, and holiday-themed activities.

To support social distancing, we are limiting the number of guests at each activity. Visit Guest Service on the day of the event to check availability; participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Holiday Craft: Sleigh Bells

Join MIM curators Richard Walter or David Wegehaupt at the Klezmer exhibit in the United States / Canada Gallery for a brief discussion of the history, revival, and evolution of klezmer music, and the many settings where this evocative music is performed.

Enjoy a lively 30-minute performance of Spanish holiday music through the celebrated musical art form of flamenco with Julia Chacón Flamenco Theatre.

Holiday Spotlight: Kwanzaa Storytelling

Experience the Kwanzaa tradition of storytelling in this musical presentation led by ASU associate professor of Africana language, literature, and culture, Akua Duku Anokye, PhD, and percussionist Súle Greg Wilson.
