Astronomy Nights at the MCC Planetarium

MCC Astronomy Nights include FREE planetarium shows, telescope viewing, information tables, hands-on activities, and more! Planetarium shows occur rain or shine, but telescope viewing of the night sky is only offered when the sky is clear.

Planetarium shows run from 6:00-10:00 PM, with shows starting every 30 minutes. Tickets to the planetarium shows are FREE to guests beginning at 5:30pm on Astronomy Nights or through online reservations (coming soon). Free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the ticket table at the planetarium entrance on Astronomy Nights beginning at 5:30 PM.


Sep 7 - Ice Worlds: Newly added to our show catalog. This show describes the role of frozen water here on Earth and on other worlds in our Solar System.

Oct 5 - Stars of the Pharaohs: Come see this popular show presented with our updated projection system. This show will be presented on a 45-minute schedule: 6:00p, 6:45p, 7:30p, 8:15p, 9:00p, 9:45p.       

Nov 2 - Juno at Jupiter: Come learn about NASA's newest mission to Jupiter. The Juno spacecraft has revealed many discoveries in its first two years orbiting the giant planet Jupiter.

Dec 7 - Tour the Universe with Pink Floyd: Updated for our new projection system! Rock out to the classic tunes of Pink Floyd and tour our amazing Universe!
