We Walk Music Video
EXTRAS WANTED! THAT MEANS YOU!
We are looking for volunteers who would like to be extras in the music video and are available on the day of the shoot. Families, friends, and co-workers are all welcome. We will provide the location and time of the shoot along Main Street. Your name and contact information will be added to our production list, and you will be included on future production emails leading up to the shoot and contacted by our music video producers.
Filming will take place April 10-April 15th!
BACKGROUND
Visit Mesa has commissioned a custom song entitled We Walk,written, produced, and performed by Cardinal Kids exclusively for City of Mesa. The song celebrates the opening of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street, and will feature City of Mesa’s proud commitment to Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion. We are creating a music video for the We Walk song that will be filmed along Main Street in Mesa! We Walk transcends traditional destination marketing by connecting Mesa to a mindset and a movement.
BUSINESS VOLUNTEERS WANTED
We are also looking for Main Street businesses who would be interested in participating in this great music video. This is an outstanding opportunity to feature your business! Part of production would occur inside or in front of your business and show everyday activity of patrons. We would cut to them flooding out into the street and walking to MLK Street to hear the band playing We Walk.
ABOUT VISIT MESA
Visit Mesa promotes the value and vitality of Mesa’s visitor economy to create a better community and works to elevate Mesa as a must experience destination in Arizona. The music video will help promote Mesa through offline and online strategies, both regionally and nationally.
VIDEO CONCEPT
The We Walk music video opens in the early morning with people opening doors, stepping outside into the street. They hear music beginning to play, calling to them. The band Cardinal Kids is performing the song, We Walk, live at MLK Street. The video will show people joining together outside as they march down Main Steet toward MLK Street. At MLK Street, the crowd will converge around Cardinal Kids performing the We Walk song, live! The video will capture the friendly, diverse, and welcoming nature of our local businesses and residents as they laugh, dance, and groove their way to MLK Street to see the band playing live. This will be a fun opportunity to show the world what makes City of Mesa such a unique and special place to live, visit and do business.
