"A tour de force. Mr. Hong evoked a kind of Beatlemania when he came on stage. What a showman! What a musician!"
—Santa Barbara News-Press
Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, pianist Alpin Hong returns to the MIM Music Theater for an evening recognizing the great composer’s contributions to every Western genre of music. The program will feature works by composers who influenced him, including J. S. Bach, and contemporaries that paid homage to him, such as Mendelssohn and Brahms. Hong will also explore Beethoven’s impact on instrumental music leading up to the cinematic symphonic arrangements of the modern era.
Tickets will go on sale to the public on Thursday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m.
