This three part lecture series will explore different myths about and in the worlds of archaeology and paleontology. The first talk in the series will debunk popular stereotypes and misconceptions of these field scientists. The second and third talks will explore specific myths in each of the disciplines, attempting to identify how the myths started and why they have been seized upon in popular culture.

Presented by Symphony of the Southwest Bright musical colors abound in the brilliant sounds of Dvorak's Carnival Overture, Debussy's Fetes and Saint Saens' Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah. The Symphony of the Southwest will be joined by the Youth Symphony of the Southwest in a performance of Holst's "The Planets." Dr. Jeffrey Hall of the Lowell Observatory has created a wonderful visual interpretation of this monumental masterpiece.
