March 11, 2013 (MESA, Ariz.) - Visit Mesa, the leading destination marketing organization for Mesa, Arizona, has selected Mindset, Inc. to lead branding efforts as part of an initiative to elevate awareness of - and appeal for - Arizona's third-largest city. The selection process was managed by an invited group of prominent Mesa hoteliers, business owners, city officials and professionals representing Mesa's core destination drivers including the golf industry, retail, attractions, arts and culture, aviation and regional partners from Apache Junction, Town of Gilbert and Town of Queen Creek.

  Starting this week, commuters in Denver and Salt Lake City will be greeted with large-scale images of Mesa, Arizona on light rail cars, trains and buses. The Mesa Convention & Visitors Bureau (Mesa CVB) launched two outdoor marketing promotions to coincide with new non-stop air service from Ogden, UT on Allegiant Airlines starting later this month, and non-stop daily service from Denver starting in October on Spirit Airlines and November on Frontier Airlines. The Mesa Convention & Visitors Bureau (Mesa CVB) along with their board of directors has named Marc Garcia president and chief executive officer.  The announcement comes after a six-month absence in the position following the passing of Robert Brinton last October. "We welcome Mr. Garcia to Mesa and are excited to have him lead us into the next era of tourism," said Gary Levine, board chair for the Mesa CVB. "His leadership style and knowledge of the Greater Phoenix marketplace are in line with our vision for tourism growth as our community works to further Mesa's
