  City seeking host duties for 2009 & 2013 (MESA, Ariz.) - City of Mesa officials have announced that Mesa was selected as a finalist to host the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II Baseball Tournament in 2009 and 2013. Mesa was selected as a finalist city along with traditional baseball hotbeds. A decision is expected this week on which city will be awarded the tournament.
