Arizona Celebration of Freedom in Mesa 2018

“The ‘coolest’ Independence Day celebration in Arizona!” is right around the corner!
Don’t miss the Arizona Celebration of Freedom in Mesa on July 4, 2018! From 6 - 10 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheater, enjoy live music, patriotic displays, family fun, fireworks, and so much more. This festival is FREE and fun for all ages – so celebrate Independence Day in Mesa this year!
What to expect…
Yankee Doodle Kids’ Zone
Carnival-style and picnic-style games will be available for all ages. You can sign up at the registration tent for the water balloon toss, sack race, pie eating contest, musical chairs, the “Great American Watermelon Toss”, and more!
KOOL Zones & the Celebration Splash Zone
KOOL off at any of the misting trailers throughout the event, and don’t miss the inflatable water slides and fire truck soak zone!
Play tailgate-style games or just relax on the grass while you enjoy live music on the Stars & Stripes stage. Live performances on the Stars & Stripes stage will include Almost Awake, New Chums, Christopher Shayne, and Sunday at Noon!
Freedom Express Trackless Train
Hitch a ride in patriotic style on the Freedom Express Trackless Train for a FREE ride near the Celebration Splash Zone!
Enjoy live music all night long inside the Mesa Amphitheater! Stage America will include live performances from Shallow Water, Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns, as well as a Salute to America Program.
Don’t miss a presentation about the historical flags and a chance to learn more about the Revolutionary War at Independence Hall! This will include performances by the Mesa City Band and the Actor’s Youth Theater at the Let Freedom Ring stage, a Fallen Soldier Memorial, and America’s Arts & Culture Showcase. Independence Hall is a must-stop at this event!
All-American Food Court & Beer Gardens
To satisfy your “all-American” cravings, an array of food and can be found at the All-American Food Court! Attention adults: Beer can be purchased in the Tailgate Zone, All American Food Court and near Stage America throughout the night.

Don’t forget about the We Make History Amphitheater, Patriotic Military Showcase, and America’s Heritage Lane!
Fill the Fire Truck: The United Food Bank will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items, bottles of water, or cash at the three entry locations to the festival. With your support, United Food Bank can help make a huge difference in the lives of Mesa residents. In addition, each donation gives attendees entry into a raffle drawing for amazing prizes!
The Fireworks Show: Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.!
Let Freedom Ring! The Arizona Celebration of Freedom can’t be beat. Come out sporting your red, white and blue to celebrate America on the 4th of July in Mesa!

This FREE event is fun for everyone and will include a drawing for Keith Urban concert tickets. Stop by from 9 a.m. - noon for this Independence Day extravaganza!

4th of July Celebration at the Mill: Celebrate with Queen Creek Olive Mill, serving their grill and drink menu in the Pit, with live music and a light show! Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. 4th of Zooly: There’s plenty of fun for the whole family at the Phoenix Zoo on July 4! Enjoy a classic summer BBQ, FREE carousel rides, special animal encounters, music & entertainment, a bounce house, and more! Don’t miss the special view of the Tempe Town Lake Fireworks Spectacular show starting at 9 p.m.
