The theme “Travel Matters” recognizes the importance of travel and how it can strengthen communities. Throughout the week, the U.S. Travel Association will highlight the seven impacts that travel can have on a destination and why it is vital to society. According to the U.S Travel Association, Overall traveler spending in 2018 totaled out to be $1.1 trillion and supported 15.7 million American jobs.
