Desert Challenge Games

Overview

The Desert Challenge Games, hosted annually in Mesa by Arizona Disabled Sports, is a premier multi-sport event for athletes with physical, visual, or intellectual disabilities. Sanctioned by U.S. Paralympics and Move United, this competition attracts top athletes from across the nation and around the world, showcasing talent in adaptive sports. The event highlights Mesa’s commitment to inclusivity and excellence in sports, establishing the city as a key destination for adaptive athletics.

In addition to competitions, the event offers free adaptive sports clinics.
Thursday, May 29, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, a Full Circle Movement Mobility Clinic will be held at ASU’s Joe Selleh Track. This clinic aims to improve athletes' balance, movement, and confidence, and is open to all ages and mobility levels. Registration is required.


Toddler Fun Run
Saturday, May 31, 2025

This 20-meter run encourages the youngest athletes to participate and is often dubbed the "cutest" event of the Games.


Accommodations
The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa serves as the host hotel for the event. A special rate of $140 per night is available for attendees who mention the group code "DIS." The rate includes a hot breakfast buffet.
