The Fall Dance Concert will be entitled "Flight: A Mariposa Story." Flight is a cohesive evening-length work with live music, spoken poetry, and, of course, dance! Through dance, Flight will tell the story of the migration of the monarch butterflies that return to Arizona each year. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Mesa Community College, and our Southern and Dobson campus is home to a number of monarch waystations. These beautiful sites support the butterflies in their journey, and they are the reason that our campus is alight with orange and black wings each fall. Flight is divided into two acts with three scenes per act and is a collaborative effort among five choreographers, several musicians, and a team of designers who are bringing this concept to life.
