Along the way, you’ll discover the plants, wildlife, and geologic wonders that make Canyon Lake one of Arizona’s most legendary landscapes—a journey through time, myth, and the wild heart of the Southwest.

Hidden Coves: Where History Meets Nature Guided Tour Itinerary – Yak N Sup at Canyon LakeTour Time: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PMDuration: 2.5 Hours
10:15 AM – Check-In & Gear FittingArrive at the Yak N Sup marina by 10:15 AM to check in and get fitted for your kayak or paddleboard. Our team will provide a brief safety overview, route orientation, and paddling tips to ensure a fun and comfortable experience on the water.
10:30 AM – Launch & Paddle into Tortilla CreekKick off the tour with a guided paddle into Tortilla Creek, a narrow, winding waterway surrounded by dramatic canyon walls and desert wildlife. This peaceful stretch of water is ideal for spotting herons, bighorn sheep, and other native creatures.
11:15 AM – Explore LaBarge CoveContinue your journey into LaBarge Cove, a wider, open area offering stunning views and quiet stillness. Your guide will share stories about the area’s geology, history, and unique desert ecosystem as you paddle through one of Canyon Lake’s most beautiful hidden gems.
12:15 PM – Scenic Paddle & Interpretive TalkFloat and take in the scenery as your guide highlights points of interest and answers questions about the natural surroundings. This part of the tour is all about connection — with the landscape, the group, and the peaceful rhythm of paddling.
12:30 PM – Return Paddle to the MarinaBegin your return journey through the canyon, with shifting midday light casting reflections on the cliffs and water — a picturesque way to wrap up your adventure.
1:00 PM – Return to Shore & Wrap-UpArrive back at the marina, return your gear, and say farewell to your guide and fellow paddlers. Leave refreshed and inspired by the beauty of Canyon Lake.

Note: Guided tours remain fully on the water — there is no swimming or water entry during the experience.
