Mesa, ARIZ. – Visit Mesa, Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities, and the City of Mesa are thrilled to be hosting the 2021 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Tennis National Championship. Having hosted past tennis championships with success, the city’s sports industry leaders are excited about this prestigious event including Mesa on its National Championship roster for the coming year, along with the opportunities Mesa’s hospitality and sports community offers visitors from across the country.

“All of us here at Visit Mesa are thrilled to help bring the 2021 NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis National Championship to the City of Mesa. The competition takes place during our favorite time of the year with near-perfect weather allowing for new experiences across our city when the student-athletes finish their match. Families and fans will be welcomed to an outdoor playground perfect for mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and more, all minutes from the tennis courts,” said Visit Mesa Director of Sports Sales Suzanne Cecil.

The event will have 32 junior college athletic teams compete May 1-5, 2021 at the Mesa Tennis Center and the championship will draw nearly $1 million in estimated economic impact. Two signature Mesa hotels will serve as hosts, Hyatt Place Phoenix/Mesa and Holiday Inn & Suites Phoenix-Mesa/Chandler. Mesa is no stranger to hosting high-caliber tennis events. The Mesa Tennis Center has hosted the Arizona High School State Tennis Championships and various USTA tournaments, and the facility also hosted the Western Athletic Conference (NCAA DI) Tennis Championships in 2018.
