Food Inclusion
Mesa Welcomes Everyone
Be part of the nation’s first city-wide food inclusion initiative
Mesa is setting the standard as the first destination to launch a city-wide allergen awareness initiative. By completing this training, you’ll help ensure that every guest feels safe, welcome, and cared for when they dine in our city. This initiative is also part of Mesa’s broader vision to be one of the most inclusive cities in the country; from accessible attractions to welcoming dining tables. Food inclusion is another way we make Mesa a truly limitless community.
Phase One: Allergen Training with the Kyah Rayne Foundation
Our first step is in partnership with the Kyah Rayne Foundation (KRF), honoring the legacy of Kyah and the families who know firsthand how critical allergen awareness can be. This free training empowers your staff with the knowledge and confidence to keep guests safe — and gives your business the chance to earn official Allergen Certified status.
Benefits of Completing Allergen Training
- Your business earns official Allergen Certified status from the Kyah Rayne Foundation.
- Increased guest trust and loyalty, especially from families affected by food allergies.
- Staff gain confidence in safely serving guests with allergies.
- Recognition as part of Mesa’s Food Inclusion initiative, positioning your business as a leader in accessibility and hospitality.
- Promotional opportunities through Visit Mesa’s channels highlighting certified partners.
What’s Next (Phases 2 & 3)
Phase 1 is just the beginning. In Phase 2, we will expand the program by encouraging even more Mesa restaurants, hotels, and attractions to become certified. We also aim to create a fund (in partnership with the Mesa for All Foundation) that helps businesses keep epinephrine auto-injectors on hand, giving both staff and guests greater peace of mind. Phase 3 will take inclusion even further, focusing on elevating the full Mesa dining experience and embedding a culture of care that ensures every guest feels welcomed and valued.
Join us in leading the way.
Together we can make Mesa a model for food inclusion — and show the world what it means to be City Limitless. Sign up your business today for a more inclusive tomorrow.
