If you're visiting Mesa for Thanksgiving this year, we have plenty of celebrations, attractions, and things to do this holiday season!

Thanksgiving is such a special time here in Mesa, the weather is beautiful, and it marks the start of the holiday season! We've gathered a list of things to do and attractions that will surely get you in the holiday spirit!

Mesa Turkey Trot

Mesa Turkey Trot

Lace up those sneakers for one of Arizona's oldest running events! The Mesa Turkey Trot is a 10k, 5k, and 1 mile run/walk on Thanksgiving Day! Proceeds from the race benefit Sertoma, which provides funding for Sequoia School for the Deaf, Mountain View Wrestling Club, Boy Scout Troop 451, United Food Bank, Merry Main Street, Mesa Polar Express, Love Your Friend, Arizona Celebration of Freedom, and various other local organizations. So join us in a little exercise before you dig in to a Thanksgiving feast!

Arizona Outdoor Fun Adventures & Tours

Adventure seekers, this one is for you! Spend your holiday exploring the beautiful southwestern landscape. Open on Thanksgiving, Arizona Outdoor Fun Adventure and Tours is perfect for those looking to escape the city for awhile on either horseback, ATV, or even just a nice long guided hike. Make sure to call ahead and reserve your spot!

Barleens Dinner Show

The Barleens Dinner Show is a vast array of instruments, music and comedy all in one entertaining performance! Along with hilarious jokes and catchy songs, you're served a delicious home cooked meal like grandma used to make! Perfect for those looking to get away from the kitchen this Thanksgiving! (12:30 pm and 6:30 pm performances on Thanksgiving Day)

Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Explore more than three miles of paths and trails through 100 acres of natural areas, gardens and exhibits including collections from Australia, Africa, Asia, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North, and South America. Learn about all the diverse and interesting collection of plants and why they are important to you, watch for our abundant wildlife, get some healthy exercise while breathing fresh air, and enjoy yourselves in this desert oasis amidst spectacular scenery!

EVIT Bake Sale

Speaking of feast, let EVIT handle all of the deserts! The baking and pastry students have prepared a wide variety of delicious sweets and baked goods available for purchase at the culinary school on November 25 & 26. Your family will be so thankful!
