Downtown Mesa’s Merry Main Street is a family-friendly event filled with festive holiday activities.

Merry Main Street celebrations begin with a tree-lighting and kick-off event. Visitors will enjoy welcoming the holiday season at this fun event. After the kick-off there are a wide variety of holiday activities available nightly throughout the remainder of the season. The Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is open to the public nightly offering locals and visitors abundant opportunities to skate under the stars. People are also invited to admire the twinkling light displays at Mesa Temple nightly. Don’t miss out on these exciting, special holiday events at Merry Main Street!
Merry Main Street Tree Lighting & Kick-off
The evening begins with festive holiday music, a tree lighting program, and the official tree lighting ceremony. After the ceremony visitors will enjoy a wide variety of events. Prepare to glide across the ice as Winter Wonderland Ice Rink officially opens for the season during the Kick-off evening. Little ones can visit Santa and visitors can peruse Santa’s Merry Makers Marketplace.
Santa’s Merry Makers Marketplace
Check-off items on your shopping list at Santa’s Merry Makers Marketplace, a two night vendor pop-up. Visitors will enjoy browsing the wide variety of artisan shopping booths while listening to festive holiday music.

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights
The volunteer-driven Christmas lighting display at Mesa Temple is illuminated every evening. Visitors to the north reflection pool can admire the twinkling lights reflecting on the water creating an unforgettable Christmas experience.
Winter Wonderland Ice Rink
Open nightly at Mesa City Center, the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is a pop-up ice skating rink inviting visitors to skate under the stars. Hours may vary throughout the season.
Tickets: $10 for one-hour skating session including skate fitting and rental

Jack Frost’s Food Truck Forest
Local food trucks come together every Friday and Saturday to create Jack Frost’s Food Truck Forest. Visit the food trucks for delicious bites and to warm up with a hot drink.
Visit with Santa
Children love visiting Santa! Parents, we recommend bringing your phone or camera to snap a keepsake photo of your little ones with Santa.
Other Special Events
There are many different events and live performances occurring throughout the Merry Main Street season. Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus will be performed by East Valley Children’s Theatre and Ballet Etudes will perform a holiday classic, The Nutcracker, at Mesa Arts Center for several nights. Other events include live musical performances and the Mesa Santa Express, a special light rail car where everyone will sing songs, snack on cookies, and meet Santa.

Parking
Free parking is available in all open lots and on-street parking areas in downtown Mesa.
Light Rail
Park at a park and ride location then enjoy free light rail rides for event goers, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. from Country Club to Gilbert Road on the select dates.
