Food Inclusion in Mesa
Where every meal comes with a seat at the table.
Travel should feel exciting, not stressful. But for millions of families living with food allergies and dietary restrictions, dining out can feel like rolling dice at the dinner table. Mesa is changing that.
As part of our commitment to becoming one of the most welcoming destinations in America, Visit Mesa is launching a citywide Food Inclusion initiative designed to help visitors and locals dine with greater confidence, comfort and peace of mind.
What is the Food Inclusion Initiative?
The Food Inclusion initiative is a citywide effort led by Visit Mesa in partnership with the Kyah Rayne Foundation. The program helps restaurants, hospitality teams and tourism businesses improve awareness around:
- Food allergies
- Gluten-free dining
- Celiac disease
- Cross-contact prevention
- Ingredient transparency
- Inclusive hospitality practices
Businesses participating in the program receive education and training designed to help staff better understand the needs of guests with dietary restrictions and food allergies.
