Mesa Cemetery

1. Cemetery Tour, October 26

Join the Mesa Historical Museum on a tour of Mesa's past, hear stories of Mesa's founding fathers, civic leaders, and much more! Who's buried in the Mesa Cemetery? A famous Country Star? A notorious criminal? Forgotten War Heroes? Tickets to the Cemetery Tour includes free admission to the Mesa Historical Museum for that day; hours 10am-4pm.

2. Goofy Ghost Walk, October 26

Ghosts of all ages are invited to kick off the Halloween season with this fun event! Wear a costume for our quarter-mile journey through the dark desert. Our “Ghost Rangers” will judge the best child, teen, and adult costumes. The Phoenix Zoo will be here to present some live animals and we’ll also listen to Ranger B’s funny-spooky stories around the bonfire (along with a free marshmallow roast!). Please bring a flashlight and closed-toe shoes. Groups call ahead, and no pets, please.

Jakes Unlimited BOO! BASH!

3. BOO! BASH, October, 26

It’s time for the Second Annual BOO! BASH happening Saturday, October 26th at Jake's Unlimited. Everyone is invited to grab their favorite costumes and head in for a day of fun. Wear a costume and you’ll get your ALL DAY access PRO PASS for only $20! Then make sure to stick around for one of the costume contests happening at 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm for your chance to win some cool prizes. And, if you join after 8pm, admission is FREE!

Nightmare on Main St

4. Nightmare on Main St – 2nd Friday Night, October 11

Historic Downtown Mesa invites you to join the ghoulish fun during Nightmare on Main. Main Street from Center to Robson will be swarming with harrowing Halloween themed fun. Event attendees are encouraged to come out dressed as zombies, vampires, robots, super heroes, monsters, fairies, cosplay, or your own favorite costume. Stroll the streets and then enter the costume contest at 7:30 PM on the OneOhOne Gallery patio. Or try your skill at the terrifying trivia contest. Free to enter and there will be lots of categories and prizes sponsored by local merchants. Or just come to check out the freakish fun.

Halloween Costume Convention

5. HalloweenCon, October 12

Dress up in you favorite costume or come as you are. A paid ticket will get you in the Mesa Convention Center where you'll be able to shop for Halloween-themed items, participate in a zombie walk, and attend the Halloween Ball. You will also get a minimum of $5 in Halloweencon bucks to use toward any of the following venues: haunted rooms, an escape room, zombie dodge, celebrity guest movies, & their Q&A Panel. Venues range from $2.50 to $10. Guest photo ops and autographs are roughly $25 apiece. Take a picture with Butch Patrick, then watch an episode of the Munsters. Get an autograph from Dee Wallace or David Naughton and watch E.T. or American Werewolf in London. Have fun, make memories, and earn bragging rights by attending the inaugural HALLOWEENCON!

Titanic Exhibit

6. Odysea Ghost Tours of the Titanic, October 27

Don’t miss this special storytelling series hosted at the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibit by a costumed docent profiling charismatic Titanic passengers, crew and/or details about the iconic ship.


7. Ride in Movie at the Park BeetleJuice, October 26

This month’s Movie at the Park is the classic, Beetlejuice! Stop by with the family for free Mesa giveaways, meet city staff, learn about helpful city resources, and enjoy a movie. SRP will provide the FREE kettle corn! You are encouraged to ride your bikes or walk to the movie in the park. Bring blankets and the kids.

Spooktacular Golf

8. Spooktacular Golf at Golfland, Every Night in October starting at 7 pm

Fall is here along with the cooler weather, time to get out of the house for some festive fall fun! Try a family friendly round of Spooktacular Golf and enjoy our festive lights and decorations on one of our famous 18 hole mini golf courses!

Beer n Bones AZMNH

9. Beer n’ Bones, October 18

Arizona Museum of Natural History Foundation is once again hosting Beer N Bones, a unique 21+ event featuring local craft beers and specialty food trucks. Plan for a blend of science-related fun, food, and brew! Where else can you drink craft beer, speed date a scientist and hang out with dinosaurs? Short Leash Hotdogs will be catering this year's event. Event proceeds will be used for Southwest Gallery updates and other programs and research at AzMNH.

CaZo Dance Theatre Bloody Mary

10. CaZo Dance Theatre Presents: Bloody Mary, October 25

Bloody Mary is a horrifying dive into the depths of the underworld through the hands of the woman behind the mirror. Feeling isolated and alone in the afterlife, Bloody Mary visits the queen of the underworld to request permission to procure three human females as her own. Believing this request will be beneficial to her own secret agenda, The Queen grants Mary her blessing. Now Betty Pearl, Evelyn Grace, and Roselyn Opal must navigate their way through the underworld to find the mirrors they were abducted from and return home.
