Halloween Haunts in Downtown Mesa

Whether you're looking for a scare or just a reason to dress up, we've gathered some spooky events happening in the heart of Mesa! 👻

Annual Cemetery Walking Tour
October 24th, 8 am - 10 am
Tickets: $15 each, 2 for $25

This year will be a self guided tour of the cemetery with special speakers at the featured graves such as Mayor Giles at Ernesto Miranda's grave, Vice-Mayor Freeman at Oscar Virgil Crismon's grave, a spotlight on missing Mayor Alexander Macdonald, and a special stop at Waylon Jennings's grave. A professional genealogist will also talk about a Mesa pioneer who has over 20,000 direct descendants with a cool visual on how that many people come from one man. Mesa Historical Museum

Downtown Strange Encounters Scavenger Hunt
October 17 – November 8
Free Admission

Mesa Arts Center presents internationally acclaimed sculptor, pumpkin carver and creative installation designer Ray Villafane's installation of Strange Encounters in Downtown Mesa.

Extraordinary Halloween carvings, humorous vignettes and creepy characters in 18 installations outdoors and in store windows throughout downtown Mesa, all visible out of doors for safe, distanced family fun. The Strange Encounters Map, which will be available online and at locations throughout downtown Mesa, will include a fun scavenger hunt with clues for identifying items in the displays. Find them all and enter to win prizes! PLUS an online instructional video will be created by Ray Villafane and provided FREE to the public, sharing Carving Tips for elevating your Jack-o-Lantern to a work of art AND how to use natural & recycled materials to create fun Halloween yard installations.


Creepy Crawl at 12 West Brewing Co.
October 31st, 12 pm - 11 pm

12 West will be hosting a costume contest and other frighteningly fun activities throughout the night!

Nightmare at The Nile
Fri-Sat Starting October 9th through October 23rd

The historic Nile Theater will transform into a short, covid safe haunted house for the month of October!

Jim Bob's Burger's at Worth Takeaway
October 30th & 31st, 9 am - 9 pm

The annual Jim Bob's Burgers pop up is back at Worth Takeaway! Come dressed up as your favorite Blecher, and enjoy some burgers and lighthearted fun! Allllriiiightt!

October 31st

Dickson’s will be offering candy for any trick or treater that comes. They will also offer $20 gift certificate free with purchase of $100 gift certificate, or $5 free gift certificate for a $50 gift certificate purchase.
